A Proclamation PDF  | Print |  E-mail

And [the king] feared and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all [the nation]. And [the people] gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities….they came to seek the Lord.

Then…came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation; And he said, "Hearken ye, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. …Stand ye still and see the salvation of the Lord with you, fear not, nor be dismayed, for the Lord will be with you."

Mike Lee and the Constitution PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Tuesday, 08 June 2010 18:57

So, according to Bob Lonsberry, every parent in the State is a Constitutional expert. The guy pumping gas to the lady at the bank is a Constitutional expert. In fact, basically every concerned citizen in Utah is a Constitutional expert. He went on to say that the Constitution is really not that complex and that the more one studies it, the more they tend to "make stuff up" to put with it.

With all due respect to Mr. Lonsberry, I strongly disagree.

Well Done Senator Bennett! PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Tuesday, 20 April 2010 05:51
It takes a real politician to so masterfully use the power of the media to twist facts to his benefit. We announced our site launch to the media and got very interesting feedback. The Provo Daily Herald ran a front page article about it. However, instead of even bothering to read any of the information we sent to him, the reporter did a “lengthy interview” with Mr. Bennett and allowed him to do a front page campaign ad for free! Brilliant work Senator!

Ok seriously, what kind of man is our President? I am so frustrated with this man! There are times, when serving in that office, that you must STOP being a politician and be a statesman, or at the very least, a concerned citizen.

Ask yourself these questions:

* Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?
* Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?
* Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach… as if you’re completely alone?

A Tough Vote? PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Nancy Pelosi is telling House Democrats to "be strong" in the face of opposition to health care reform saying it will be a "tough vote."

Why I wonder do they need to be strong? Why will it be a tough vote? Could it be that many of her Democrat colleagues are concerned that if they vote for this, they will loose their job?

This is the seventh and final installment of the State of the Union and there is still so much to cover. I have reluctantly decided to not cover it all. I will talk briefly about this later. This has been an interesting experience and a long road.

The State of the Union (Part 6) PDF  | Print |  E-mail

In this section, the president again heavily twists facts and information to suit his needs. It is, I believe, a gross violation of honesty and integrity. Indeed, it is true that this President is a dyed in the wool politician however, there have been politicians before him, and I am certain there will be politicians after him, that hold integrity as one of their most valuable assets. He starts off right of the beginning of this section, with one of the biggest lies out there. Once more, my comments are in RED

You knew this was coming. You knew he would not get through this speech without bringing up Healthcare. This section, has just as many, if not more, exaggerations, half-truths, and outright dishonest representations as the rest. The difference being that this is his pet project. This issue more than any other, he HAS to get done. He has expended too much of his political capital (and approval ratings) on making it happen.

Corruption

Dishonesty for personal gain - dishonest exploitation of power for personal gain - extreme immorality or depravity

Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth President and the first from the newly formed Republican Party, was sometimes referred to as "The Accidental Candidate." He was not even in the top three contenders favored to win the Republican Nomination. He was also the first President to be assassinated, and the first to lay in state after his death.
